Jenni and Trix were well worn travellers by this point. Nothing seemed to phase them. But on this particular road, something felt different. Or perhaps it was more like something felt… familiar.
“I feel like we’ve travelled down this road before,” Jenni mused, looking around.
Trix, oblivious to everything but aching feet, did not return the sentiment. “At this point, it doesn’t matter! I just want to take a nap!”
“We have to be careful, Trix,” Jenni said. “This could be a trap of some sort!”
“Good,” the fox muttered. “Maybe if we get captured, we can have an excuse to sit down.”
